Lost in Translation: #newmusic by @g_eazy
We have previously blogged about G-Eazy’s stellar debut mixtape, “The Endless Summer”, but his recent single release is original enough to deserve its own shout-out. Originally leaked on @Earmilk, the track feeds off inspiration from his travels to Japan.Gillum samples the Japanese pop hit ONPONPON by Japanese pop singer きゃりーぱみゅぱみゅ (aka Kyary Pamyu Pamyu). And his album art/song title is itself a shout-out to one of the great American movies on traveling Japan, ‘Lost in Translation’ starring Bill Murray.
