    Music Monday: Countdown to Camp.

It’s Halloween and although most people are thinking about today my mind is looking forward to this weekend when the anticipated freshman album of @DonaldGlover titled “Camp” drops. Most hip hop fans have mixed opinions of Gambinos style as a rapper and are hesitant to even include him in the same company as rappers like Kanye or Even emerging artists like Big KRIT. Having seen Glover perform live I can surely say that he has very little in common with what is traditionally considered a rapper, but that his music has a more experimental and unique feel than most. Regardless Gambino is the only artists that I keep trying to push on my lady (who’s apparently more of a hip-hop purist than I am) that she hasn’t bought into. Clearly, Glover still has something to prove to the hip-hop world and he will undoubtedly be making his case with camp. If you’ve never heard of Gambino give his mixtape Culdesac a listen. Also following the link in the picture will give you a look a series of photos from the Life+Times photographer look into the making of Camp. View high resolution
