Just Days Until Our #Ohm #Music @AppStore release

After months of intense design work, we finally pulled the trigger on submitting our 1.0 Beta release to Apple’s App Store (more improvements to come shortly after!). Ohm Music is a music player app that we hope will take your on-the-go music listening experience to the next level. We’ve build in a number of improvements such as a dynamic queue to quickly build playlists on-the-go, gesture controls, playlist artwork and colors, and sleek artist collection pages to make  your existing iPod music library both more beautiful and more useful to you.   If all goes well we hope it will be out come mid next week. meanwhile, we’ve attached a few screenshots just to get you excited.. stay tuned!!

PS- if you have an Android phone, we’ll be releasing a very similar update on or around the same day, so no worries you will not be left out in the cold! :)

    #Google AR Glasses

#Google believes technology should work for you — to be there when you need it and get out of your way when you don’t. A team within our Google[x] group started Project Glass to build this kind of technology, one that helps you explore and share your world, putting you back in the moment. Follow along with them at http://g.co/projectglass as they share some of our ideas and stories. CLICK THE PIC to see the demo. View high resolution

Google is large company focused on many different projects, but it is very good to know that their attention is still focused on valuable projects that bring the world closer together. A great follow up to their art project  Google now has street view in the Amazon rainforest! Thanks very much for this spectacular project!

    #Cubs Finally Win World Series

No flying pigs? No Godzilla? This “Cubs Win” commercial for “MLB 12 The Show” is burning up the Internet for its hyper-realistic view of what a first Cubs World Series title since 1908 would look like in Chicago. There’s no meteor shower, but we won’t spoil the end beyond that, because you really need to CLICK THE PIC to watch this youself. Now if Madden would only do one for the Buffalo Bills…. Ohm attends @AngelHack @Adobe

Ever heard of a hackathon before? If you’ve seen The Social Network, it’s kind of like that one scene where they have the engineers competing head to head around a table. The real deal is kind of like that, except without the shots, and it goes a whole lot longer. This last weekend two of our co-founders & engineers, Cam (@camwes) & Chris (@cbennett10), had the privilege of attending the west-coast version of AngelHack, a 30-hour long event hosted for the first time this year at Adobe’s beautiful headquarters in the SoMa area of San Francisco.

Although our team did not officially compete for the grand prize or API prizes, they did made huge headway on building a new web app that will add a lot of value to our upcoming iOS & Android apps. We also met a lot of other brilliant designers & engineers.  Attached you can find a few photos from the weekend event, photo credits go out to Cameron.

Our apps will go live in the marketplace(s) in just a few short weeks, but please feel free to join our beta list if you want to shorten your wait and give them a test run before any one else does: http://beta.ohmmusic.com

    Ohm: Seeking Beta Testers!

    Sign Up Here

Great news, we are weeks away from releasing Ohm! Before our official release we would like to extend an exclusive invitation to our followers to join our beta. As music lovers, we have been working for over a year towards building the next great music player and we need your help getting to the finish line. Our first release is aimed particularly at reinventing the media player interface so we are looking for people who listen to music all of the time. In addition to our sleek interface we are introducing new features such as:

    • Play Queue: allows you to quickly and easily queue up music and then save as a playlist
    • Tweet: So that in one tap you can tell all of your friends what music you’re enjoying
    • Playlist Artwork: Ohm is the first app to allow users to add their own artwork to their playlists
    • Gesture Controls: With Ohm you don’t need buttons, but use simple, intuitive gestures (e.g. double tap for play/pause, swipe for next/last song, etc.)

If you are an avid music listener who will agree to give us a little feedback as we prepare for launch then please JOIN OUR BETA soon before we run out of spots! If you have an Android sign up as well!
